Meet the team Neil Harper Partner Neil qualified as a CA in 1976, became a partner of Ritson Smith in 1978 and assumed responsibility as Managing Partner in 1995. He was succeeded as Managing Partner by Niall Farquharson on 1 November 2007. Neil is highly experienced in all aspects of accountancy, audit and taxation, and champions the cause of close partner involvement with Ritson Smith clients all over North-east Scotland in every sector of business and industry. His personal style is relaxed, personable and highly approachable – qualities which underpin the whole firm’s approach to dealing with clients. “I am very proud of the teamwork we show in this firm,” he observes. “We attract good people, we keep them, and they are without exception highly self-motivated.” Neil has a passion for sport including golf, football, curling and skiing, at all of which his competitive spirit remains undiminished after years of participation.
