Meet the team Niall Farquharson Managing Partner Niall joined Ritson Smith on graduation in 1981, qualified as a CA in 1985 and became a partner in 1988. Niall has over twenty years’ first-hand experience of working with owner-managed businesses, and also specialises in corporate finance and litigation support. He has responsibility for financial due diligence for the Ritson Smith corporate finance team, and, as head of the litigation support team, he receives regular instructions from legal practices and acts as an expert witness in court. “As a long-established local practice, we have an intimate working knowledge of financial institutions, and what they are really looking for when you want to raise finance,” he notes. “This allows us to project-manage much of the corporate finance process for our clients.” In his personal life, Niall has wide-ranging sporting involvement, most notably in golf where he is a past captain of Royal Aberdeen Golf Club.
